Formula Library
Last updated April 26, 2026
The Formula Library provides over 40 prebuilt formulas that you can add to your Workbench views with one click. These cover common forecast calculations that are typically done offline in spreadsheets — performance metrics, change analysis, pipeline coverage, forecast accuracy, and more.
Accessing the Formula Library
Click the Formula button in the Workbench toolbar. This opens your list of active formulas — the ones you’ve already added or created.
From here, click Add from Library to open the prebuilt formula library.
Browsing and adding formulas
The library is organized into categories:
- Performance Metrics — Attainment, quota utilization, and similar calculations.
- Change Analysis — Period-over-period changes, trend calculations.
- Pipeline Coverage — Coverage ratios against quota and gap.
- Forecast Accuracy — How close forecasts are to actual outcomes.
Each formula appears as a tile showing its name and a brief description. Click the + button on a tile to add it to your active formula list.
Forecasting type compatibility
Formulas are created for specific forecasting types. If your org has multiple forecasting types that are compatible (same roll-up hierarchy and grouping mechanism), they can share formulas. If they have different groupings or different hierarchy types, you’ll need separate formulas for each.
Select the forecasting type from the dropdown at the top of the library to see formulas available for that type.
Reviewing a formula’s definition
After adding a formula, you can click Edit in the actions column to see exactly how it’s calculated. For example, the Commit Accuracy formula is defined as the final closed amount for a period divided by the commit forecast at the start of that period.
If the prebuilt definition doesn’t match how your org thinks about that metric, you can edit it here or create your own from scratch using the Formula Editor.
