Workbench Overview
Last updated April 26, 2026
The Workbench is a core feature of the RevWorks platform where forecast data, pipeline analysis, drill-down tools, and export capabilities come together in one place. It provides a configurable view of your forecast hierarchy, organized by periods and fields, with a range of display and analysis options.
Accessing the Workbench
Open the Akoonu app in Salesforce and select the Workbench tab.
Layout and orientation
The Workbench displays your forecast hierarchy on the left side of the screen. You can see the full hierarchy at one time without refreshing the page or reloading. This works for both role-based hierarchies and territory-based hierarchies.
The data itself is organized by periods and fields — configurable through the View Builder (covered in a separate article).
The view is contextual to the logged-in user. If a rep two levels down in the hierarchy logs in, they see themselves at the top of the view with only their data below.
Header controls
The header area provides several key controls:
- Saved Views — A dropdown to select from your saved views, including views that others have shared with you.
- Forecast selector — Shows your forecast by default. If others have shared their forecasts with you, those appear here as well. This applies to both role-based and territory-based forecasts.
- Search — Quickly find an individual in the hierarchy by name to drill down to their data.
Toolbar actions
The toolbar provides a set of actions for working with the current view:
- AI Insights — Generate AI-powered insights for the current view.
- Export — Export the data from the current view.
- Time frame — Change the time period being displayed.
- Formula Editor — Open the formula editor for custom calculations.
- Reload — Refresh the data.
Display options
Several options let you customize how data is displayed:
- Currency — Switch between any currency used in your org (e.g., US Dollars, British Pounds).
- Font size — Adjust the font size up or down to fit more data on screen.
- Short numbers — Switch from full numbers to an abbreviated format (e.g., 1.2M instead of 1,200,000) to keep things compact.
- Full width — Expand the view to use the full browser width, adding a horizontal scroll but providing more room for data columns.
- Hide inactive users — Exclude inactive Salesforce users who still appear in the forecast because they own opportunities.
- Exclude zero rows — Remove rows where all values are zero.
What’s next
The Workbench has many layers to explore. See Forecast Deep Dive to learn how to drill into forecast details, or Drill-Down Opportunity Lists to inspect the deals behind the numbers.
