Methodology Detail Panel

Last updated April 21, 2026

The methodology detail panel gives you a full view of every qualification field in your sales methodology — with the current values, empty fields, and AI suggestions all in one place. It’s the detailed companion to the stoplight, available in Workbench drill-downs and on opportunity pages.

This article covers how to navigate the panel, review AI suggestions, and update qualification data.

Opening the panel

The methodology detail panel appears in two places:

  • Workbench — Click any deal in an opportunity list to open the drill-down view, then select the Sales Process subtab.
  • Opportunity pages — If your admin has added the sales methodology widget to the opportunity page layout, the panel appears directly on the page. See Adding the Opportunity Page Widget for setup instructions.

Panel layout

The stoplight appears across the top of the panel, showing the same color-coded bubbles as the list views — dark blue for recorded values, light blue for AI suggestions, and white for empty fields.

Below the stoplight, each methodology field is displayed with:

  • Field name and description — An information icon shows the field’s description, which helps reps understand what qualifies as a complete answer.
  • Field value box — Shows the current recorded value, or is empty if nothing has been entered.
  • AI suggestion (when available) — Appears below the field value box on fields where Akoonu’s AI has identified a potential value.

Accepting AI suggestions

When an AI suggestion is available for a field, a Copy button appears next to the suggestion. Clicking it writes the suggested value into the field — the bubble in the stoplight immediately changes from light blue to dark blue.

Review suggestions before accepting them. The AI bases its analysis on deal activities, emails, and call recordings, but the rep working the deal is the final judge of accuracy.

Editing fields

You can edit any qualification field directly in the panel — type new values, update existing ones, or clear fields. Changes save back to the underlying Salesforce opportunity record without leaving the panel.
