View Builder: Fields
Last updated April 26, 2026
The Fields tab in the View Builder is where you select which data columns appear in your Workbench view. There are roughly ten categories of fields available for each compatible forecasting type, plus any formulas you’ve created.
Available field categories
Cumulative forecast categories
The standard roll-up categories: Commit Forecast (includes Closed + Commit), Best Case Forecast (includes Closed + Commit + Best Case), and so on. These are the numbers most managers reference when discussing the forecast.
Individual forecast categories
The standalone values: just Closed deals, just Commit deals, just Best Case deals, and Open Pipeline. Use these when you need to see a single category in isolation.
Quota, attainment, and gap
Quota pulls from the forecasting quota configuration. Attainment and Gap are automatically calculated — no formula needed.
Custom fields
If you have Custom Forecasting Data configured on your forecasting types (e.g., stretch goals, prior year actuals, manager-specific fields), those fields appear here. See the Custom Data Manager documentation for setup details.
Reference forecast
Fields related to the Cadence & Submissions workflow — the reference forecast values used during the submission process.
Unadjusted values
The raw pipeline data before any manager adjustments. Available in both cumulative (e.g., Commit Forecast) and individual (e.g., Commit Only) versions.
Team roll-up values
The sum of subordinates’ values — what the team has rolled up before the forecast owner applies their own adjustments.
Owner adjusted values
The forecast owner’s submitted values — the official number after applying their judgment. For a subordinate, this is what they submitted. For you, if you adjusted their number, that would show in your own owner adjusted values.
Period comparisons
Built-in comparisons that require no formula setup:
- Year over year — Amount change or percent change vs. the same period last year.
- Quarter over quarter — Compared to the same period last quarter.
- Month over month — Compared to the prior month.
Formulas
Any formulas you’ve created or added from the Formula Library are available as fields. See Formula Library and Formula Editor.
Configuring a field
Click on any field in the Selected Fields list to configure it:
- Custom label — Rename the column for clarity (e.g., change “Open Pipeline” to “Pipeline”).
- Time offset — Show the value from 7, 14, 30, 60, or 90 days ago instead of the current value. This lets you build trend views by comparing current values to historical ones side by side.
- Indicator overrides — Override the view-level indicator settings for this specific field.
Reordering fields
Drag and drop fields in the Selected Fields list to change their column order in the view.
