Quotas with Groups
Last updated April 15, 2026
When a forecasting type is configured with product family or custom field grouping, Quota Manager adapts to let you view and edit quotas per group. The same editing and bulk tools apply — groups add a layer of organization on top of the standard quota table.
Switch between groups
When a forecasting type has grouping enabled, a dropdown appears at the top of the quota table. Use it to switch between the available groups.
For example, if your forecasting type groups by product family, you might see options like Cloud Services, Hardware Devices, AI/Analytics, and Software Solutions. Select a group to see quotas for that group only.
This works the same way whether the grouping is based on product family or a custom field.
Edit quotas within a group
All the same editing methods work within each group:
- Inline single-cell editing
- Multi-select editing across cells
- Row-level and multi-row selection
Select a group from the dropdown, then edit values just as you would in an ungrouped quota table. See Editing Quotas for details on each editing method.
Bulk operations across groups
The bulk tools — import, export, delete, and copy — handle all groups in a single operation. You don’t need to run them separately for each group.
- Import: The generated template includes columns for every group. One file covers all groups for the selected fiscal year and forecasting type.
- Download: Exports quota data for all groups in one file.
- Delete: Removes quotas for all groups in the selected fiscal year and forecasting type.
- Copy: Copies quotas for all groups from one fiscal year to another.
This means you can manage the full set of grouped quotas without switching between groups for each bulk action.
