Quota Import Wizard
Last updated April 15, 2026
The import wizard walks you through loading quotas into Salesforce without using DataLoader or knowing any system IDs. It generates a ready-to-use template, and you upload it back when your values are filled in.
Start the import
Click the Import button in the Quota Manager toolbar. The wizard asks you to confirm the fiscal year and forecasting type for the import. These determine which users and periods appear in the template.
Download the template
After confirming your selections, the system generates a data template and downloads it as a spreadsheet file.
The template comes pre-filled with:
- The full hierarchy structure
- User paths showing where each person sits in the hierarchy
- Internal Salesforce IDs (so you don’t have to look them up)
- A column for each month in the fiscal year
You don’t need to add or modify any of the pre-filled columns. The only thing you need to fill in is the quota values.
Fill in quota values
Open the template in Excel or another spreadsheet application. Enter or paste quota values into the monthly columns for each user.
The template works the same way whether you have 10 reps or 1,000 — the format doesn’t change with scale.
Save the file when you’re done.
Upload the file
Return to the import wizard and upload your completed spreadsheet. The tool reads the file and submits the data as bulk jobs in Salesforce.
You’ll see confirmation when the import completes. The quota table updates to reflect the new values.
