Exporting From a View

Last updated April 26, 2026

You can export data from any Workbench view as a CSV file. The export includes the periods, fields, and hierarchy that are in the current view, so you get exactly what you see on screen.

Export options

Click the Export button in the toolbar. You have three options:

Top level only

Exports a matrix with the periods going down the left and the fields going across. This gives you a single-user view — your own forecast data for all periods and fields in the view.

Direct reports

Exports the top level plus one level of subordinates. The CSV lists each user with the periods and fields going across — first all fields for the first period, then all fields for the second period, and so on.

Full roll-up

Exports the entire hierarchy beneath you with all periods and all fields. The CSV includes a path column showing the roll-up hierarchy for each user, making it easy to see the reporting structure in the export. This works for both role-based and territory-based hierarchies.

Where exports are saved

When you export, the file downloads to your browser and a copy is saved in your Files inside Salesforce. You can go back and find previous exports there at any time.
