Submission Cadence and Status
Last updated May 11, 2026
The submission cadence is the weekly rhythm that drives bottom-up forecasting in RevWorks. Each level in the hierarchy submits on a staggered schedule, so numbers roll up cleanly from reps to the final forecast.
How the weekly cycle works
Every week follows the same pattern. A submission window opens before the due date, giving each level a defined period to submit their forecast.
For example, with a 48-hour submission window and a Friday 4:00 PM final due date:
- CRO / VP — due Friday at 4:00 PM
- Directors — due Thursday at 4:00 PM
- Frontline managers — due Wednesday at 4:00 PM
- Reps — due Tuesday at 4:00 PM
Each level’s window opens 48 hours before their deadline. The 24-hour offset between levels ensures that by the time a manager starts their submission, their team’s numbers have already rolled up.
TIP
The day of the week, submission window length, and offset between levels are all configurable. Set them to match how your team runs its weekly forecasting cadence.
Submission statuses
Each person’s submission shows one of these statuses:
- Due in X days/hours — within the submission window, not yet submitted
- Completed — submitted on time during the window
- Completed late — submitted after the deadline but still recorded
- Missing — the window closed and no submission was made
Where to see cadence status
Home tab
The Cadence and Submission widget on the Home tab shows your current status, a submit button, and a link to the AI digest from your previous submission. The Forecast Progression chart aligns to the cadence, showing weekly submission points across the period. The Team Submission Status widget shows the current status of your direct reports.
Workbench tab
The Status column in the Workbench view shows the full hierarchy with each level’s due date and submission status. This is where you can see the staggered offsets in action — the top level due in three days, the next level in two, frontline managers tomorrow, and reps due today.
