Rollup Calculator

Last updated April 15, 2026

The rollup calculator helps you set manager quotas based on their team’s total. Instead of manually calculating each manager’s quota in a spreadsheet, you define percentage adjustments by hierarchy level and let Quota Manager do the math.

Show rollups in the table

Enable Show Rollups from the display options in the toolbar. This adds a comparison indicator to each manager’s cells showing how their quota compares to the sum of their direct reports.

Each cell displays a percentage showing whether the manager’s quota is over or under the team total. Cells where a manager’s quota exceeds their team’s sum are highlighted in red.

This gives you a quick visual check across the hierarchy without opening a separate report or exporting data.

Open the rollup calculator

Click the Calculate Rollup button in the toolbar to open the rollup calculator modal.

The calculator lets you set an increase or decrease percentage at each level of your hierarchy. For example:

  • Frontline managers: 10% less than the sum of their reps
  • Second-level managers: 10% less than the sum of their direct reports
  • Third-level managers: 5% less than the sum of their direct reports
  • Top level: 0% (no adjustment)

Set the percentages that match your organization’s planning approach. Each level is independent, so you can apply different rules at different levels.

Preview calculated values

Before applying any changes, the calculator shows a preview comparing:

  • Current values — The existing quota for each manager
  • Calculated values — What the quota would be with your percentage rules applied
  • Change — The difference between current and calculated

Review the preview to confirm the results look right before committing.

Apply the calculated values

Click Apply to save the calculated rollup values. The quota table updates immediately to reflect the new manager quotas.

Once applied, the values are saved to Salesforce like any other quota edit. You can still adjust individual cells afterward using inline editing if specific managers need different treatment.

When to use the rollup calculator

The rollup calculator is most useful during annual or quarterly planning when you need to set quotas across the full hierarchy. Define your rules once, preview the results, and apply — instead of calculating each manager’s number by hand.
