Chat Controls
Last updated April 21, 2026
Oonu provides controls at the bottom of the chat interface that let you configure how it responds — the depth of analysis, which LLM to use, and whose perspective to chat from. These controls are available when starting a new conversation.
This article covers each control and when to use it.
Analysis depth
The analysis depth control determines how Oonu structures its response:
- Auto (default) — Oonu calibrates the response to match the question. A simple question gets a concise answer. A complex analytical question gets a thorough response with charts, tables, and detailed breakdowns.
- Quick — Forces fast, concise responses. Useful when you need a quick number or a short answer before a call.
- Deep Dive — Forces thorough analysis with rich visualizations, charts, and detailed breakdowns. Useful for end-of-quarter reviews or preparing a comprehensive update.
You can change the analysis depth at any point during a conversation. The change applies to the next response.
TIP
Start with Auto — it handles the right depth for most questions. Switch to Deep Dive when you need a full analysis you can present to leadership.
LLM provider
If your admin has configured multiple LLM providers, you’ll see a provider selector in the controls. Options may include Agentforce, Claude, or OpenAI, depending on your setup.
The LLM provider is set when you start a conversation and cannot be changed mid-chat. The functionality is the same across providers.
Chat as different user
The user selector lets you chat from the perspective of any subordinate in your team hierarchy. When you chat as a different user, Oonu sees their data — their deals, their pipeline, their forecast — as if they were asking the question.
This is useful for:
- Managers preparing for a 1:1 — see the rep’s pipeline from their perspective
- RevOps troubleshooting or verifying what a user sees in their data
- Leaders reviewing a specific team or region without switching contexts
NOTE
Once you start a conversation as a different user, that perspective is locked for the duration of the chat. Start a new conversation to switch back.
