Using Prebuilt Skills

Last updated April 21, 2026

Oonu includes a set of prebuilt skills — ready-to-use starting points that combine instructions with pre-loaded data context to answer common questions in one click. Instead of writing a detailed prompt, select a skill and Oonu handles the rest.

This article covers how to find and use prebuilt skills, what categories are available, and how they differ from free-form questions.

Starting a chat with a skill

Prebuilt skills appear below the chat input on the Oonu welcome screen. They are organized into four categories:

  • Opportunities — Deals closing soon, top open deals, stalled deals, key next steps
  • Pipeline — Current quarter pipeline, next quarter pipeline, 180-day pipeline outlook, team pipeline comparison
  • Forecasting — Quarterly forecast summary, forecast health, forecast changes, category breakdowns
  • Performance — Win rate analysis, team attainment, rep performance comparisons

Click any skill to start a new conversation. Oonu automatically loads the relevant data and generates a complete analysis — no additional input required.

How skills differ from free-form questions

You can always type a question directly into the chat input. Skills are different in two ways:

  1. Pre-seeded data — A skill tells Oonu exactly which data to load before responding, so the analysis starts from a complete dataset rather than Oonu deciding what to pull.
  2. Structured output — Skills include instructions for how to format the response, so results come back consistently with the right level of detail.

Both approaches give you the same underlying data access. Skills are a faster starting point for common tasks; free-form questions give you full flexibility.

Following up after a skill

After a skill returns its analysis, you can continue the conversation with follow-up questions. Oonu retains the full context from the skill response, so you can drill deeper without re-explaining what you’re looking at.

Every response also includes suggested follow-up questions at the bottom to guide you further into the analysis.

Click any link in a skill response to drill into the underlying Salesforce record — opportunities, accounts, and forecasts all link directly to their detail views.
