Adding the Opportunity Page Widget

The sales methodology widget can be embedded directly on your Salesforce opportunity pages, giving reps and managers instant access to the stoplight and qualification fields without leaving the opportunity record.

This article walks through adding the widget to your opportunity page layout using Lightning App Builder.

Adding the widget

  1. Navigate to any opportunity record in Salesforce.
  2. Click the gear icon and select Edit Page to open Lightning App Builder. You need admin permissions for this step.
  3. Add a Tabs component where you want the widget to appear — the right-hand column is a common choice.
  4. If you only need one tab, delete any extras.
  5. Rename the tab to match your methodology — for example, “MEDDPICC,” “SPICED,” “Sales Process,” or whatever fits your team’s terminology.
  6. From the component list on the left, find Sales Methodology under Custom - Managed components.
  7. Drag the Sales Methodology component into the tab.
  8. Click Save and activate the page if prompted.

TIP

Placing the widget inside a tab keeps the opportunity page clean and consistent with the standard Salesforce layout. Reps can click into the tab when they need it without it cluttering the main view.

What reps see

After the widget is added, reps see the full methodology panel directly on the opportunity page — the stoplight across the top, each qualification field below with its current value, and AI suggestions where available. They can review and update qualification data without navigating to Workbench.
