Team Submissions

Last updated May 11, 2026

Team-based submission is designed for managers, directors, and VPs who need to review their team’s forecast before submitting their own. Instead of going deal by deal, you work at the team level — reviewing each subordinate’s numbers, drilling in where needed, and applying manager-level adjustments.

Getting oriented

Start your submission and choose Review Team. The page shows a table with you at the top and each of your subordinates below. Columns represent each forecasting period (current month plus future months), split into Closed, Commit, and Best Case categories.

Each cell shows the forecast value with three indicators:

  • Change indicator — Red or green pill showing how the value changed in the last seven days
  • Progress indicator — Bar showing attainment against quota
  • Coverage indicator — Current pipeline coverage versus the remaining gap

Drilling into a subordinate’s deals

Click any number in the table to drill into that person’s deals for that period. The drill-down shows the opportunity list categorized by forecast category, plus a mini flow view for a quick visual read on deal distribution. Use this to assess whether you’re comfortable with how deals are being forecast.

Adjusting a subordinate’s forecast

Hover over any subordinate’s cell and click the pencil icon, then click Add to enter your adjustment. Type the new value and add a note explaining why.

After applying, a pink adjustment arrow appears on the cell — pointing up or down depending on the direction. Hover over the arrow to see the details: the unadjusted value, the team roll-up value, and the manager-adjusted value.

These are manager adjustments — visible to you and anyone above you in the hierarchy, but not to the subordinate. They still see the forecast as they submitted it.

Adjusting your own forecast

You can also adjust your own row in the table. For example, if you think the team is collectively too optimistic on June, you can reduce your own commit forecast for the month. These are owner adjustments — they change the number that rolls up to your manager.

Submitting

Click Submit when you’re done. The summary screen shows all adjustments with their notes and a final table for any last tweaks. Add your comments and click Submit and Apply to Forecast.

After submitting, the AI-generated digest in the Cadence and Submission widget summarizes your team-based submission — what adjustments were applied, to whom, and their impact on the overall forecast.
