Daily Advisor’s AI has access to a broad set of data and its reasoning determines what to prioritize each day. This means the briefing may vary in structure and focus. If you want more consistency in what Daily Advisor covers, custom instructions let you guide the AI to always include specific sections or focus areas.

This article covers how to set up custom instructions for Daily Advisor.

Configuring custom instructions

1. Open the Akoonu app in Salesforce and go to the Setup tab.
2. Select Features from the left menu.
3. Click Daily Advisor Custom Instructions.
4. Enter your instructions — for example, require specific sections like “Top Deals,” “Morning Priorities,” and “Key Meetings.”
5. Click Save.

What custom instructions do

Custom instructions guide the AI’s output format and focus areas. They don’t replace the underlying analysis — Daily Advisor still digests all activities, pipeline data, and team context. The instructions shape how the results are presented.

For example, adding an instruction to “always include a Top Deals section” ensures that section appears in every briefing, even on days when the AI might otherwise have prioritized other topics.

Refreshing the briefing

After saving new custom instructions, go back to the Daily Advisor tab and click the Refresh button in the lower right of the summary. The briefing regenerates with your new instructions incorporated.
