Health View

The Health View is a bubble chart that plots every deal in your pipeline by close date and amount — giving you an instant visual read on risk, concentration, and coverage gaps. It’s the bottom button in the left sidebar of Pipeline Reviews.

This isn’t an everyday view, but when you need to quickly assess the overall health of a pipeline and spot the major risks, it’s the fastest way to get there.

Reading the chart

Each deal is a bubble. The position tells you:

  • Horizontal (x-axis): Close date — deals further right close later
  • Vertical (y-axis): Cumulative amount — bubbles stack upward as amounts increase

The size of each bubble reflects the relative deal size. A large bubble stands out immediately as a make-or-break deal.

The shading indicates sales stage — lighter blue for early stages, darker blue for later stages. Won deals show in green. Deals with a solid border are in the Commit forecast category.

What to look for

Several risk patterns are immediately visible:

Deals behind the “now” line. A vertical purple line marks today’s date. Bubbles to the left of it have close dates in the past — a data hygiene issue that needs attention.

One outsized deal. A single large bubble dominating the chart means the pipeline (or a rep’s pipeline) depends heavily on one deal. If that deal slips, the number moves significantly.

End-of-quarter stacking. Bubbles piled on top of each other on the last day of the quarter — the “snowman” pattern — signals concentration risk. It’s not realistic for that many deals to all close on the same day.

Coverage gaps. Empty stretches on the timeline (like no deals in June) suggest a future pipeline problem that’s worth investigating now.

Stage progression. Are most bubbles light blue (early stage)? Or are there enough dark blue (late stage) deals to support the forecast? The color gradient tells you at a glance.

Drilling into teams

Use the team drill-down sidebar to scope the Health View to individual managers or reps. Each person’s pipeline tells a different visual story:

  • One rep might have deals evenly spaced with healthy progression
  • Another might have one enormous deal and nothing else
  • A third might have good coverage but a dry spell toward the end of the quarter

These patterns are hard to spot in a list or report. The bubble chart makes them obvious.

Interacting with deals

Click any bubble to see the deal label (opportunity name and amount). Hover to see the standard opportunity popover with editable fields. Click labels on or off to reduce visual clutter when the chart is dense.
